Pages that bend
Grab the paper and drag. The leaf curves along its length the way a real sheet does, throws its shadow on the page beneath, and falls back if you change your mind halfway.
A reader for your PDFs, and the articles you mean to get to
Pages that bend as they turn, a glass for the footnotes, and a quiet record of every minute you read — kept in this browser, with no account and nothing uploaded.

What it does
Grab the paper and drag. The leaf curves along its length the way a real sheet does, throws its shadow on the page beneath, and falls back if you change your mind halfway.
Pick up the magnifier, put it over a footnote or a figure, and leave it there. A turning page nudges it aside.
The page you are reading is drawn from the PDF at your screen's own resolution, and drawn again when you zoom in — never a stretched picture.
Focus mode takes the browser away, then the toolbar fades after a few still seconds. One key in, one key out.
Books live in this browser's own storage, on your disk. Delete a book and its file and its history go with it.
The clock only runs while the tab is in front of you and you have touched something lately — leave it open overnight and it records nothing. What comes back is your pace, your streak, and an honest guess at what is left.
How it goes
Drop a PDF on the library, or paste a link to an article and it is typeset into a book. Files are read in this tab and never sent anywhere.
A two-page spread on a desk, one page at a time on a phone, at the page you last stopped on.
Drag the paper to turn it, the glass to get closer, and press F when you want everything else gone.
Your page, your minutes and your pace were written down as you went. Nothing to save, nothing to sync.
For the keyboard
Everything the toolbar does has a key, so the toolbar can fade away and stay gone.
Drop a PDF on the library and open it. The progress, the sessions and the estimate of what is left all follow from reading it.
